The place was incredibly gorgeous and a greatly functional space. Zedena will make sure that your experience is as thrilling as can be and works under almost any conditions. Great available parking for guests. Her only constituent is that you don’t use confetti because it’s hard to clean up afterwards, but that was no problem. Seriously, check it out. Beautiful antique space for a great price.
We loved the Montgomery and so did our guests! They are so easy to work with and made planning a wedding a painless process! It was a beautiful venue and we could not have asked for more on our big day!
I could not have been happier with this hidden gem! I did not imagine when looking at the outside that the inside would be so beautiful! My bridal party was so impressed with the bridal suite, while the groomsmen loved the groom’s suite. It’s proximity to The Elms provided us with the perfect place to stay the night before and Zedena was so easy to work with at the venue! She took my brunch wedding dream and made it a reality!!
One of the most beautiful, warm places i have had the pleasure of visiting, Attached a wedding of two beautiful people that mean the world to me..This place is so unique, i fell in love the moment i walked in the door..the setting is breathtaking.
Beautiful event space with The Elms hotel nearby. Plenty of room for 200 people, food line, do, dance floor and bar. Not too far from MCI for out of town guests.
My daughter’s wedding was held there it was a nice place for the wedding and reception.
Zedena was wonderful to work with. We sat up decorations on Friday morning and our wedding reception was Saturday night. I had enough room for 24 tables on the floor with space to dance in front and down the aisle. Everyone commented on how unique the space was. We sat up our photo booth upstairs in the bridal suite area. Again, Zedena was great to work with, flexible, and answered all of my questions. I HIGHLY recommend this venue for wedding receptions!!
We had the Montgomery booked for Friday and Saturday. Friday we sat everything up and put our flowers together in the space as well. Zedena already had our tables, chairs, and linens up when we got there Friday. I thought we were going to spend most of our time doing that. The space itself is gorgeous. We had around 150 total people in the space and it still had room for more. I wouldn’t try to squeeze much more than 20 onto that if you want room to dance though (unless you use the upstairs too).
I had many complements on the space and decorations, even though we didn’t do many decorations at all really only centerpieces. There is a bridal suite with salon chair, double sinks, a changing/living space, and a private bathroom! The grooms quarters is quite a bit smaller, but totally usable. The upstairs includes an air hockey table, pool table, shuffleboard, and a poker table. Zedena was great. She was able to help us figure out how we wanted everything to go. She also ran the bar for us. We chose to have some drinks we provided (which she served) and a cash bar. Overall a very stress-free day thanks to our location and vendors.

A spectacular event venue within 30 minutes outside of Kansas City! The Montgomery has a large gallery /dinning space, kitchen, bar and includes numerous other amenities. Last, the property manager is delightful and is very easy to work with!
Beautiful venue ! Lots of extras for everyone ! Zedena is so helpful and accommodating . Our wedding went off without a hitch
If I had to make any suggestions it would be that there be more lighting in the brides sitting area .. salon part was wonderful lighting ,sitting area was hard to get good pictures . All in all I highly recommend Montgomery Event center!
This is an excellent place to look into for your wedding. I am utilizing them for my reception. You can bring in basically your own everything (caterer, DJ, Floral, etc) The Bar service they provide is very reasonable, the prep kitchen for catering in quite large and has multiple things to help with serving, the layout of how to set up the room, catering, and basically everythign is awesome. The upstairs game room is a perfect addition for kids attending the wedding and adults. The bridal suite to get ready in is sp spacious and great. Not too expensive and the coordinator is a gem to work with!
We have attended many events at The Montgomery! In fact, we had a baby shower for our daughter there! It is a beautiful venue! Spacious, with a nice kitchen and plenty of space for the bridal and groom parties to get ready!
We couldn’t have picked a better place to have our wedding. The bridal suite was amazing. The palace was clean and neat, specially the bathrooms. The price is very reasonable. The Montgomery had everything we needed and wished for. We had and amazing time with our guests.
The venue was beautiful-everything we hoped for! Zedena was great to work with and helped make the day fabulous. The bridal suite made getting ready a breeze, and the game room kept the kids occupied until the ceremony. They also provided our bartending services, and worked with us to make sure we offered everything we wanted. I don’t think we could have chosen a better place!
I love this venue! It was gorgeous which makes for amazing pictures. The location is amazing! The church was directly across the street and the Elm’s Hotel and Spa is right down the street! They have an open vendor policy so you can hire your own caterers and bartenders. The real gem is Zedena! She handles all of the booking of the venue and pretty much anything else you could possibly need during the planning the process. She was great during the planning process and huge help! Between the beautiful historical building and the amazing staff, I highly recommend this venue!
Everything We Were Looking For
This venue had everything we were looking for. The bridal suite is what sold us, and it was a wonderful place for the bridal party to hang out in all day. The event space was wonderful and held 200 guests comfortably, including buffet space, dance floor, and photo booth space. Another bonus was that the price included chairs, tables and linens – and the set up and tear down of those items. The manager, Zedena, was so incredibly helpful and truly delightful to work with. I have already and will continue to recommend this location for a wedding reception.
We had our wedding reception at The Monthomery and we absolutely loved it! It was the first and only venue we looked at and we fell in love with it. It’s so beautiful inside with a large area along with unique original wood flooring a bar area, kitchen, game room upstairs and an amazing bridal suite! The bridal suite was such a huge help to have with a large area to get ready in and a big room with hair and make up chairs along with large mirrors. From the minute we met with Zedena to show us the venue she was so helpful and catered to us for every question and need we had. She was always available and with any question she had a reply right away. We got so many compliments on the venue and with it being so beautiful we didn’t have to decorate much which saved us a lot of money. The place spoke for itself and I wouldn’t of wanted to host my reception anywhere else! Thank you so much for an amazing experience and catering to us on our special day!!
This is an amazing venue! It’s located in a small town with lots of history. The building itself has a lot of cool history too! The event coordinator, Zedena, was beyond amazing and helped us however we needed it! She went way beyond what she had to do to make sure my wedding day was perfect! I had my wedding and reception all at this same space which was awesome for everyone! I had about 180 guests and had plenty of room! The big staircase in the middle was my favorite part! Being able to walk down it made for beautiful pictures and it felt great! The bridal suite was my second favorite! It was the perfect space for all of us girls to get ready! I couldn’t of found a better venue!
